I am a friendly, approachable teacher who will help student's to realise their full potential. I can help students of all abilities to refine and practice their exam technique.
I've been teaching Business Studies for the last ten years and I have taught across all the exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I have taught both Applied Business Studies and Business Studies at both GCSE and A Level.
As a fully qualified, working teacher, I have extensive experience of helping students to achieve top grades and maximise their marks in exams. I am experienced in working on a one to one basis, and have helped students with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Aspergers. I am a specialist when it comes to Controlled Assessment, Coursework and Assignments, and can help with planning, research and write-up.
I like to inspire confidence, particularly for students facing challenging exams. I do a lot of work explaining what the examination requires, so that students are secure and feel able to cope with the exam.
My approach to tutoring is a very personalised, centred around what the tutee wishes to achieve. I believe in establishing what they want first and then tailoring my approach to them. I like to use a variety of methods and resources. I know how important it is to build a relationship in which they feel comfortable discussing there needs. I help students by improving and refining their exam technique and improving their knowledge of the subject. Having worked in Business before my teaching degree, I am able to bring real world examples to my lessons and find that it helps students relate better to the theory they are studying.
