I have been working in schools for approximately 6 years, initially as a 1:1 keyworker and more recently as a supply teacher. During the school holidays I am a woodland activity leader and general outdoor-adventurer.
Before settling in Devon, I managed a forest-based high ropes adventure course.
I live in Powderham village with my husband and daughter and our (friendly) dog.
Since finishing my PGCE I have been working as a supply teacher in schools throughout Exeter and the surrounding villages. I have gained experience of working with children from a variety of learning backgrounds and have used a range of approaches, including forest school. I enjoy the spontaneity and variety of my work and meeting new people each day.
Children are not always able to communicate their talents via the approach being employed in their classroom. Through my experience, I am able to tailor my teaching to your child and allow them to communicate their talents and ability to learn, and improve their confidence.
I am familiar with current assessment frameworks for all primary year groups.
I tutor from my home in Powderham Village.
I can support your child with any Primary School subject area.
