Angela

Hola! My name is Angela and I am a native Spanish speaker with a degree in Hispanic Studies from King's College London. I am very passionate about my language and culture and I love sharing it with others. I have been living and working in the UK for many years. Traveling and learning about new cultures and beliefs is one of my favourite hobbies, I always have an attempt at learning new words and phrases. I am a massive animal lover as I grew up on a farm where there was a wide range of wildlife.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as a teacher for the past sixteen years in both state and independent sector. Through the years, I have acquired a wide range of experience from teaching across all key stages. I am currently Head of Spanish in a well renowned Catholic School in Surrey. I am in charge of overseeing the progress and success of students across KS3, 4 and 5.

Tutoring Approach

I believe personal tutoring plays a unique role in developing the language further. The use of unique and bespoke lessons helps the students with self confidence and self belief. I use a communicative approach to learning the language and inspiring a love for learning. Through my tutoring career, I have helped several students achieve the grades needed for their exams. Last year two of my A level tutees achieved the A grade needed for Universities. And, in the case of one student achieving an A at GCSE after she had obtained an E for her mock.
