She is a talented and versatile musician whose career includes film, radio, commercial and television music. She has performed as a soloist and section violinist for numerous chamber ensembles and orchestras internationally at venues such as Odessa Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, De Doelen Rotterdam, Royal Festival Hall and Symphony Hall Birmingham. She has performed and the BBC Proms, Snape Proms, Gent Music Festival in Belguim and was invited to perform at the Color of Music Festival in South Carolina in the US. She has adjudication experience for music competitions.
She is been part of diverse projects including Chineke! Orchestra, Charanga del Norte and Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra.
She is writing her own children's beginner violin series of educational books which will be completed soon.
She has 20 years of teaching experience of teaching Violin, Viola and piano. She also has taught music academically and advanced music performance. She is also a committed and active music educator and conductor who has taught children and adults the violin across the country in some of the most deprived areas of the UK to inspire young people to study music. She has experience teaching Instrumental / Music teaching (one to one, small group, collaborating with external organizations and schools on education projects, Wider opportunites and ensemble activities. She can identify the potential in pupils and nurture that talent. She can maintain registers and pupils profiles, record the progress and attainment development of students. She can provide and contribute to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individuals and groups of students. Communicating and consulting with younger pupils parents to support them with any concerns to ensure pupils achieve and built their confidence as they learn.
All lessons are catered for the individual. Lessons are structured around personal goals set by the student. These goals can be anything from preparing for Music scholarships for Secondary school, University or Conservatoire entry.Working towards Music performance and Music Theory ABRSM exams. In contrast targets can be working on good playing technique without the pressure of exams deadlines as the students confidence and well being is paramount. The student with her guidance can developing their skills as a performer with growing confidence that they have strong foundations to progress further with more in depth understanding of Music and Music performance.
