I have taught across all stages of the primary spectrum (P.1-7) I love teaching and have done so for 8 years. During this time I have taught in Cambodia, Australia, Vietnam and also my native Scotland. I believe in making learning fun and based around the individual learners needs. I am particularly skilled in reaching pupils with ASN and ASD needs. I have a fun, friendly and out going approach to learning and take great pride in seeing pupils succeed academically.
I trained at the University of Glasgow on the PGDE teacher training diploma. My first degree was based on psychology and sociology, which gave me a good basis for understanding specific learning needs of the individual. I am able to pin-point specific learning barriers that each individual child in my care may face and I am then able to tailor my lessons to suit the needs of the individual. I have been a Primary School Teacher in North Lanarkshire for over 8 years and as such I have taught across all stages of the primary sector. I am particularly skilled at aiding Numeracy and Literacy skills but I have also studies the MLPS course for Spanish and can teach this also. Other CfE areas such as Science, Geography, Heath, ICT and Problem Solving can be supported also.
I am able to travel to areas close to where I live in the East End of Glasgow and also areas within North Lanarkshire. I am available at weekends and school holidays too. I have my own transport so travel is no problem. I have testimonials from previous families that I have tutored privately which can be provided on request.
