I am the director of the London Piano Academy – a vibrant and successful piano teaching school based in London and St. Albans. I have taught piano performance and keyboard skills at The Royal Academy of Music for many years and enjoy a career as a concert pianist and composer. I have taught students across all ages and abilities to become better pianists through a unique teaching approach from which I can boast a 100% pass rate in all ABRSM exams. I hold regular concerts for all of my students to play at, which helps to build their confidence, develop their focus and serves as an amazing preparation for exams. I am extremely confident that I have the best private piano teaching school in London. All new inquiries are welcome!
I have been teaching at the Junior Royal Academy of Music since 2005 as a multi-specialist music practitioner, and I can bring my wealth of experience and expert tuition to my students. I have been teaching the piano privately since 1998, from beginner to grade 8 and diploma level, and have put countless students through graded exams, coached pianists for recitals and TV performances. In addition to the piano lessons that I offer in Enfield, I also teach GCSE Music and A Level Music, also in Enfield and elsewhere in North London. I can get pupils from a Grade C to a Grade A* within a few months of hard work. I know the structure and content of the exam papers and am also familiar with what examiners are looking for. Get that A grade today! I can also offer lessons in Sibelius scoring software and music composition.
I treat every pupil with individuality, to nuture and develop their musical talent. I work on the basis that every student I teach has an individual learning style, and I make my lessons fun, inspiring, and challenging - all at the same time! I am known for my sense of humour and easy going style, but I do demand the best from my pupils. I use a range of teaching techniques and have studied the art of teaching in great depth. Talent is not enough, and I believe it is the responsibility of the teacher to assess and evalute each pupil on their own strengths, nuture their weaknesses and inspire confidence. The piano techniques that I teach can be traced back to Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt, and for my advanced students I also teach the Russian and French schools of pianism. I can transform a persons' piano playing in just a few short weeks. Come along and have a trial lesson and see what you can achieve with the right approach!
