Andy

Glasgow Tutor

I am a College Lecturer in Maths and Music Technology who had a successful career in popular music prior to teaching. I hold a 1st class hons in maths and physics and a postgraduate in philosophy. I have full disclosure and have a lot of experience of teaching disaffected youngsters.

Tutoring Experience

I have had 9 years experience of lecturing at various colleges and universities including Stow College, Ayr College University of the West of Scotland and Forth Valley College where I am currently employed. I also teach maths in prisons. I have tutored children for several years now at the various school levels and have achieved excellent results from my pupils including several A band 1s in Higher Maths and Physics during the latest round of exams.

Tutoring Approach

I like my sessions to be fun and friendly and always engage the student's attention in the subject through real world applications of concepts. I work with the student to find where the weaknesses are in their work so that I can tailor my lessons and homework for the learner. I am rigorous in my preparation for exams, ensuring that the student is properly prepared for assessment.
