A teacher with 27 years experience at various levels of schooling. Headteacher of three schools involved in curriculum setting, monitoring and evaluation and learning. Keen to work with adults and children in mathematics to GCSE and English for interested parties and KS2.
Master's Degree researching the different ways young people approach mathematical problems and avoiding the common mis-understandings. Vast experience in exam preparation or those just wanting to enjoy the subjects.
Qualified and highly experienced Maths teacher aware of the typical errors in understanding of mathematical concepts and therefore quick to offer solutions.
Currently writing childrens' novels and keen to assist youngsters with their English, expression and general structure and inspiration for writing.
Spent much time preparing children for senior school entrance, GCSE or just improvement in understanding. Relates well to both children and adult learners wishing to improve themselves.
Much experience in making mathematics a little easier to understand for those who feel they 'just can't do it!' It is a 'language', albeit with numbers, patterns and sequences, but can be translated and made fascinating. A fun approach for all learners whatever your needs and ability. Recent research into learning styles and therefore delivery style to suit. Unlocking the door to understanding becomes mutually pleasurable. It's really not that tricky!
