I am an experienced Primary School teacher and I am moving into the tutoring field. I am a sports fan, ice hockey being my favourite, lover of travel, music and spending time with friends.
One of my favourite places I've visited is New York City. A close 2nd would be Cairns due to the opportunity I had to go scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
I have spent 10 years teaching in a local primary school. During my time there I have taught children from reception up to year 6 where I worked towards the SATs assessment.
I coordinated PE and Computing. As well as those subjects, I was External Visits Coordinator. This included supporting staff with completions of risk assessments for all visits.
Having focussed sessions is extremely important when tutoring in order to support the learning of the child. I work hard to create individualised learning plans to focus and develop your child's learning.
In a session, set tasks will be worked on to develop specific skills. After a session, I assess the learning and use that knowledge to plan the next session in order to maximise learning.
