Currently a postdoc at the Institute of Cancer Research in London, after finishing my PhD in Cancer Biology in 2012.
I hold a BSc from Imperial College London in Biology with French for science, and 6 A-Levels (in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, French, Modern Greek and Accounting).
As a high achiever I know first hand how to use different techniques to learn effectively and I pass these skills on to my tutees. Excitement and commitment are the best drivers and I use these to motivate and engage my students.
Through the last 10 years, I have tutored and mentored students across different exam boards and levels, from KS3 to GCSE and A-Level.
I have more than 600 hours of tutoring experience, both in small group and in one-to-one, with my students always being happy with our lessons and my approach, and achieving excellent results.
Generally, I prefer to take a light hearted and upbeat approach to tutoring, as I find it important to balance enjoying the subject while being focused enough to achieve the goals.
I have tried and tested several approaches to teaching, learning and revising, and I face each student as an individual, tailoring each lesson to their needs and abilities.
