A Civil Engineering graduate from Brunel University, I have a passion for maths and physics and would love to share my passion with others. I have studied both subjects up to A-Level achieving high grades.
I am now working for a construction company working towards Civil Engineering Chartership. I am patient, understanding and enthusiastic.
Coming from a large family with several cousins, I have frequently found myself helping them with their homework and revision, all the way through to GCSE level. Only leaving school recently, I am very familiar with the syllabus. I was also a student ambassador at the university which has helped me to gain vital skills in interacting with younger children by using effective techniques.
All students are different, however I approach each one with a motivated, energetic and fun approach. I make the subject interesting by engaging the student using real-life situations. I am always patient and calm with the student, and help to explain the theory in alternative ways to suit the student's learning style.
Whilst I was a student, I found that with subjects such as maths and physics, practise makes perfect. So I will make sure that we go through as many questions as possible. I have had tutors myself before so I know what makes a good tutor!
As exams approach, the main focus will be going over the theory as well as practising past papers.
