Personal Description:

Hi everyone, my name's Andrew and I'm a recent MA graduate in English Literature from the University of Warwick. Before undertaking my MA degree, I completed my undergraduate studies also in English Literature with the Open University.

I am a veteran of the UK education system and as such have experience in both GCSE and A-Level curricula, as well as higher education study. My core areas are English, English Literature and History, and I hold high qualifications in all three.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from and working with you soon!

Tutoring Experience:

In addition to my degrees, I am a highly passionate lifelong learner and teacher. Education is one of my greatest principles, and I hope to pass this on as much as possible. In recent years I have had the opportunity to lead classes in university and focus in particular on the sharing of creative writing. With the Open University I was able to learn from and inform a variety of UK-based students from numerous backgrounds, and at the University of Warwick I was able to work with students from China and the Far East. The results were astounding, with a creative, constructive and friendly space proving beneficial for all.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style is inclusive and collaborative. I like to begin by learning about you and what your own interests and queries might be, creating a program of study based off of this, and then using my own abilities to help inform your weaknesses. The learning process should not be about you forcing to change yourself: it should be an opportunity for mutually beneficial learning where questions of identity are central and used in a productive way going forward.
