I’m a second-year Geography student at University College London and a great lover for all political, cultural and development related issues within my discipline. At A-Level I took English Literature, Geography and Mathematics and left school with A*AB in these subjects as well as 8A*3A at GCSE. I adored Maths and English throughout KS3, 4 and 5 and would love to encourage the same passion amongst other students! Outside of my course, I am a Treasurer for the UCL Geographical Society, play the piano and write for the department magazine.
Aside from helping my younger siblings in Maths throughout their schooling, I have worked at various Kumon centres helping other students with problems in their Maths and English papers. I have recently begun to tutor students around London in GCSE Maths and will soon expand into subject areas.
The first lesson will be spent identifying the key problem areas using various materials such as test papers and practice books. Then subsequent lessons will consist of short tutorials to ensure the student is confident in the method before slowly going through a variety of questions from the topic. Students are welcome to bring schoolwork that they are also struggling with.
