I have a passion for Sociology and teaching. I have been involved with Sociology in some format for the past 16 years and have a variety of teaching skills and resources to help students of all ability levels. I believe that diversity in teaching is the key to a successful learning experience. Outside of teaching I enjoy reading, walking and crime documentaries.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for 10 years know. I have been a classroom teacher and The Head of Sociology at a very successful upper school. I have taught a variety of subjects along side Sociology including, Citizenship, Religious Studies, Health and Social Care, Child Development and Psychology. All of which at both GCSE and A Level. I have taught both OCR and AQA boards and I am currently teaching AQA and I am an examiner for them. In my current role I am also a Safeguarding Officer which is an aspect to my job which I enjoy and find fulfilling.

Tutoring Approach

I have a variety of skills and resources and like to be lead by the students preferred style of learning. I am happy to help with exam skills as well as content based learning and will enable the student to work on their own identified areas of weakness.
