I live in the Stirling area and I am currently Principal teacher of Maths. I obtained my degree at Stirling university and then graduated from Strathclyde university with my PGDE in education and mathematics. I have studied a number of modules in education at Masters level and about to begin my postgrad in education. I have taught all years and levels and have taught the new curriculum and will be teaching the new advanced higher this year.
I have had experience in tutoring National3,4 and 5, Intermediate 2, General and credit, higher, advanced higher, HNC and HND maths as well as credit and higher biology. I am enthusiastic and committed to helping people progress in their subjectss. I have a lot of resources to use depending on the level, type of learner and age / experience each learner has.
My approach to tutoring is firmly based around the student. I believe that the student comes first and I will do my very best to organise sessions so students progress and learn something new all the time. In previous years I have set out a rough timetable of progression so both myself and the student have a schedule to follow. I feel I am very flexible in my approach to tutoring and if something isn't working I will adapt sessions. I am very clear in my aims for the session and also in my method of tutoring.

Reliable, friendly and very clear. The pace and stretch in the work you pose in our sessions, and homework, is building confidence.
