Information About Amy - Cambridge tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Amy:
I am a 23-year-old postgraduate student at Cambridge University, currently studying for an MPhil in European Literature. I can provide tutoring services in English and German at all levels. I received an MA (Hons) in German and English Literature from Edinburgh University in 2016, which included a year abroad at Heidelberg University in Germany. I am fluent in German and have practical knowledge of Mandarin and French, having spent a semester studying at Hubei University in China, and completed a traineeship at the European Commission in Brussels before commencing my studies at Cambridge. I have a strong academic background, considerable international experience and a passion for languages.
I have taken part in a programme aimed at improving the reading ability of Year 7 children (11-12) who have struggled in a normal classroom setting, and have provided private GCSE and Adult German tutoring.
I have always taken my own academic life seriously and recognise the importance of good grades in an increasingly competitive job market, but I also take into account the immense pressure placed on young people. Private tutoring takes place in a different environment to normal classroom teaching, and is an opportunity to communicate the subject matter in a new and hopefully more enjoyable way, whilst still retaining an awareness of the ultimate academic goal.
