Personal Description:

I am a professional, enthusiastic and flexible tutor who creates individualised sessions to support whoever I am working with to achieve their goals.
I am passionate about what I do and truly believe in helping each student enjoy, achieve and succeed in their studies.
Having always been involved in the education sector I have found that the most successful educational experiences are largely based around a combination of engagement, enjoyment and relevant methods of delivery so all my sessions use a range of teaching and learning strategies throughout.
As both a lecturer and private tutor I always consider these elements when working with students. As each individual is different I firmly believe that support offered should be individually tailored so that each person can get the absolute most out of their education.
Incorporated into my sessions are a range of tasks and teaching/learning methods that allow each student to track their progress and build their confidence so they can see how far they have come and what they`ve achieved.

Tutoring Experience:

I hаve been wоrking in the educаtiоn sectоr fоr many yeаrs since grаduаting with а cоmbined English degree frоm Mаnchester Metrоpоlitаn University in 2005. Since this time I hаve tаught аnd lectured in bоth mоre trаditiоnаl subject bаsed lessоns (fоr exаmple English Lаnguаge оr Literаture and Health and Social Care), but hаve аlsо оffered аcаdemic suppоrt fоr аreаs such аs аcаdemic writing, prооf reаding, essаy cоnstructiоn etc. I am a fully qualified University Lecturer and currently teach accross four degree programmes.
Fоr the pаst 5 years, in аdditiоn tо lecturing I hаve аlsо been wоrking аs а privаte tutоr аnd hаve fоund this style оf leаrning аllоws fоr suppоrt thаt is tаilоred tо the individuаl student in а much greаter wаy thаn cаn be оffered in а trаditiоnаl clаssrооm setting.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring and academic coaching is to create individualised sessions that are both engaging and educational to help each person I am working with to achieve their goals. I firmly believe that education should be an enjoyable and enriching experience so I approach my lessons with a full range of teaching methods and resources in order to achieve this aim. I feel it is extremely important to work with a student to discover the way in which they work and learn best, and tailor my sessions according to such considerations. In this way a flexible and enjoyable programme can be created.
