Hi, I'm Amy and I am a secondary English teacher. I enjoy teaching and working with young people; my particular strength is building confidence in young people, to enable them to approach formal examinations.
I have worked in a high achieving school in Winchester, alongside an outstanding English department with results in the top 10% in the UK. In addition to this, I have experience in teaching children with SEN, social, emotional, mental health and behaviour needs. I am also a qualified examiner for GCSE English language and I have had extensive training and experience in the new specification GCSE English exam (2015).
I am an approachable and patient teacher who puts the needs of learners first. I can adapt my teaching style to suit different learners and aim to make my lessons engaging and enjoyable.
