I am 31 years old. I am an Open University student currently studying for my BA/BSc Open Degree in Psychology and Education. Starting from March 2016 up until Summer 2017, I was a volunteer at a local school. This involved helping a small group of children with literacy and numeracy work.
I did do work experience at a nursery when I was at school. I also worked for a short time at a secondary school for a few months but that was only as a receptionist/librarian. I also worked on a voluntary basis at a local primary school as a classroom/teaching assistant. I recently started tutoring a group of children in a community centre.
I would like my students to work in a relaxed and friendly environment. I would also like them to have a high level of commitment and to be as enthusiastic about learning, as I am about teaching.
