Amie

March Tutor

After studying Theology for two years, firstly at the University of Nottingham and then at the University of Manchester, I continue to study with the Open University. My present studies focus on English Literature and Linguistics.

I am friendly, patient, and build good rapport with students. I am available most evenings and some afternoons - please contact me for my current availability.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored English students with great success. On completion of my current studies I will teach A-Level & GCSE English.

Tutoring Approach

I take a person-centred approach to tutoring. After an initial diagnostic session, to determine the student's strengths and weaknesses, I suggest a weekly topic or exam skills session with their particular needs in mind. This helps to build up confidence and knowledge, and the analytical skills required to approach exam questions.
