I am a friendly and enthusiastic student (24 years old) currently studying for a masters in cancer biology at Imperial College London. I was awarded a First in my undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at Bristol University, and went on to complete an MSc in Economics and Finance. I completed a two year graduate scheme at Deloitte Consulting, before returning to cancer biology research at Imperial, and will be applying for a PhD this year.
While at Deloitte, I delivered classroom software training to peers. I also was responsible for supporting new joiners, offering one-to-one excel training where needed
I provide a well structured, yet still flexible, approach to tutoring. I will begin by gaining a full understanding of your syllabus and upcoming exams. We will then talk through any areas where you have struggled or shown lower exam performance. We will use exam papers to develop exam technique, and will constantly return to old issues to make sure the learning sticks.
Example lesson: 1) Review the previous week at school/college (including homework) to check that everything has been well understood. 2) Provide clear explanations for any new issues areas (I will prepare exam questions for these areas for the following lesson). 3) Complete small set of exam questions covering previously identified issue areas. 4) Review questions and learn from mistakes.
