I am a highly qualified and a very approachable tutor with a passion for mathematics and for tutoring both children and adults.
I have graduated from a top London University with a First Class Masters degree in Civil Engineering (Dean's List recognition) after which I have worked in a large Financial Organisation for five years and currently working as a freelance structural engineer. This has given me a firm and broad understanding of Mathematics, not just academically but in professional applications too.
I have been tutoring mathematics in Cornwall for two years, tutoring both children and adults from GCSE to A-Level.
Previous experience also includes tutoring GSCE students as part of the Action Tutoring organisation in London. Here I worked with small groups and individuals to help students prepare for exams or to go over problematic areas of the syllabus.
I do not have a blanket approach to tutoring, I believe each individual has their own learning style and requirements. I believe being flexible is key and I always start by understanding where my student is having trouble and their preferred learning style. I have bags of patience and prefer to take a light and friendly approach.
I believe education is very important and have a real passion for helping others understand what is a very useful and interesting subject.
