I am a 27 year old primary school teacher from Ireland. I am teaching year 5 again this year and i love it. I've been living in England for the last 6 years! If you were to ask anybody that knows me to describe me in a few words, I think they would say I'm a very kind, bubbly, caring individual with a heart of gold that people naturally feel comfortable around. I'm extremely passionate when it comes to teaching and helping individuals grow academically and in confidence at any level. In addition to being a full time teacher I am also currently tutoring a girl who's getting ready for her GCSE's, in the past I've tutored individuals at both GCSE and A level with my past students achieving grades of A and A*. I am very proud of this accomplishment and it has really spurred me on to help others in need, ensuring they have the confidence, knowledge, drive and determination to surpass any grades that may seem unrealistic in their own reality!
I have taught year 5 for the last 5 years! As part of my PGCE I taught year 3 for a month in Caen, France delivering an hour maths lesson through the medium of french, I'm pretty proud of that! I also have taught French children English using my TEFL certificate in summer camps all over France for two summers! I am currently tutoring a GCSE student aged 16 preparing her for her upcoming exams and I have tutored other secondary school children in the past!
I am a soft, kind, caring individual which comes across in my teaching. I create a bond with all pupils I teach. I'm passionate, enthusiastic and also funny in my approach to teaching. I really believe this is critical for the success of any child as they need to be confident and comfortable both academically and emotionally. I find a good balance between being strict and making each lesson as enjoyable as possible for any student I teach. I really love my job as a teacher and I believe this comes across very quickly when people enter my classroom.
