This is how 2 referees rated Alison Jane:
I have played the recorder since I was 7, achieving Grade 8 with honours in 1983. I can also play the flute and piano and I have sung in many choirs, both large and small. I studied Law at Sheffield University, achieving a 2:1, after which I trained as a solicitor. Having worked at the Law Society for 11 years, I became a Law and Business teacher first at Stanmore College and now at Hertswood Academy in Borehamwood.
I have taught A Level Law for the past 12 years, as well as teaching Law and Business BTEC courses. I taught the recorder as a teenager and more recently I taught junior school children the recorder for four years 2011-2015. These children all passed ABRSM music medals. I am able to teach Law GCSE and A Level, recorder and Grades 1- 5 Music theory.
I am a flexible, committed and experienced teacher. I use a variety of teaching techniques to enhance students' interest and enjoyment of the lessons. I love to see my students progress on to the next level of their learning.
