I am a qualified maths teacher. I taught maths in a secondary school from 2014 until July 2018, preparing students for their GCSE exam. I also have worked with some of the stundents in our school, preparing them for Junior and Intermediate Maths Challenge with very good results.
Starting September 2018 I decided to became full time tutor and exam marker.
I trained as maths teacher in 2013-2014 with Leicestershire SCITT.
In August 2014 I started teaching in Sir Jonathan North Community College and I worked there until July 2018, when I decided to became full time tutor and exam marker.
I am using a wide range of resources adapted to my students’ type of learning.
I am making sure that my students have a deep understanding of the topics I am teaching, which will enable them to solve more complicated problems (rather than teaching steps to follow).
I am creating a friendly, encouraging and supportive learning environment.
During the tutoring sessions I will observe my students and identify any problems which might stop them from achieving their best in maths. Once identified I will try different strategies for my students to deal with these problems.
