Hello. I graduated from Newcastle University in 2014 with a 2:1 in Psychology. I have since worked in a range of settings including, education and mental health, and have been tutoring psychology for over two years. I also have an MSc (distinction) in Mental Health Studies from King's College London, where I now work as a researcher.
I'm passionate about psychology and have a strong academic background in the subject. My specialist areas are clinical psychology, social psychology and research methods, including statistics. However I can provide support in all modules from GCSE-undergraduate level.
I have been tutoring psychology A-level for the past two years, so have lots of experience of working with people and am able to adapt lessons according to students learning styles. I also have experience of providing academic support from primary, through high school, to undergraduate level. Including designing and delivering teaching sessions. I have tutored a number of students in A-Level psychology, over the past two years. I have also worked as an academic mentor in Psychology at Newcastle University and provided academic support to young people aged 7-18 in high schools and support centres for a charity; IntoUniversity.
I'm friendly and approachable, and am able to adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of different students. I like to make sessions interesting and as interactive as possible. I'm a patient tutor and am happy to go through things in lots of different ways until the tutee is confident with them. I love psychology, and am passionate about it, which helps me to deliver interesting tutoring sessions in the subject.
