Personal Description:

I have just graduated from Oxford with chemistry degree (MChem) and I now work in parliament as a researcher/advisor.

I have been tutoring a variety of subjects for four years (namely chemistry, maths and economics) and I intend to carry on tutoring since it is a real pleasure of mine. I am based in Westminster and I offer tutoring at home. Please feel free to ask me any questions!

I am happy to send my CV and references on request.

Tutoring Experience:

I have four years of tutoring experience having tutored around 18 different people for different subjects and periods of time.

Tutoring Approach:

From my own experience, tutoring requires patience and a set of realistic objectives to achieve in every tutorial. As a tutor, I will lead by example and practice, to ensure the tutee is familiar with questions, and is properly prepared to combat any question which may arise in an exam.

I have a very professional approach for teaching my tutees and I focus on ensuring motivation and the key techniques required for problem solving and completing examinations. I set work for each tutee to complete each week and not only mark it, but provide solutions to the problems. In addition to this, I prepare notes and revision guidelines for tutees and give them my direct contact details so that if questions arise between meetings, they can be solved quickly without delay.

I offer long-term and intensive courses for students. The former is suitable to shadow the work that they carry out in school and work with them to further improve their abilities above that of their peers. The latter is designed to search for their key issues within their course and/or abilities.
