I'm a history masters graduate from Goldsmiths, where I received awards for having the best overall performance of the year and the best dissertation, and had my work shortlisted for a national award. I'm currently teaching full time at a secondary school in Croydon, and (slowly) learning the guitar in my spare time!

Tutoring Experience

I've tutored in many different students, of all abilities and backgrounds, in Out of Class Support (OCS) work for FE colleges in London, and with many private students. I have a track record of rapid improvement in results and strong relationships with tutees and families.

I have also been a full time secondary school teacher in Croydon for the past three years, and am currently a Keystage Co-Ordinator and Professional Learning Mentor in addition to my classroom responsibilities.

Tutoring Approach

I like to tailor my tutoring very closely to the individual student's needs, taking into account their personality and their own particular strengths and weaknesses. I also think it's important for a tutor and tutee to get on well; this has been key to my successes in tutoring for the past 6 years.
