Tutoring Approach

  1. Identify pupils' gaps in knowledge through assessment.
  2. Ensure prior knowledge required to access new information is there.
  3. Give the responsibility to the learner to make links between previous knowledge and new learning in order to have a deep understanding of the concepts.
  4. Assess pupils' understanding through questioning that requires a reasoned answer.
  5. Challenge pupils with problem solving tasks in order to extend them.
