Adrienne has always enjoyed working with primary school aged children. During her time at sixth form college and when on holiday from university she worked as a nanny for a number of different children. Alongside this she also worked as a volunteer at a school based youth club as part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. Adrienne attained a BEd (Hons) degree from Kingston University and has been teaching for 22 years.
Adrienne has a broad range of teaching experience in primary schools in Kent, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and London. She has worked in a variety of contracted positions and supply cover across the Foundation Stage, Key stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Adrienne has been a Year Group Leader, Foundation Stage Coordinator, Key Stage 1 Coordinator as well as leading on Maths, History and Geography. For the last 10 years, alongside her work in primary schools, Adrienne has tutored a number of children between the ages of 5 and 11 on an individual or group basis. This has been to support children with the work they are doing in school , to prepare them for SATS or to prepare them for 11 plus exams and entrance exams for private schools. From September 2018 Adrienne has lived in Tunbridge Wells and is currently teaching at primary school in Sevenoaks and is available to tutor in and around this location.
With over 22 years primary school teaching experience and after school one to one private tutoring Adrienne Knaggs offers Maths and English tuition in your own home. Tution is offered in an informal, fun and relaxed atmosphere where a love of learning is encouraged and self confidence is boosted. All tutoring is tailor made following a free assessment to determine the level a child has achieved in English and Maths and will be adapted as the child's learning develops. Regular feedback will be offered to parents and liason with the child's school will take place if required.
