I am a B.Sc. Graduate of Computer Science, in my mid-50s, with a long career as a Chartered Engineer in IT - as well as recent experience working in a local High School. I am very friendly and helpful and highly approachable, and I am known for my ability to explain concepts well. I have recently semi-retired from my profession in IT, where I worked for major Telecoms and IT companies for 30 years. Recently I have worked at a temporary job in IT Support at a local High School, where I enjoyed helping students and staff alike. Originally born and brought up in Wales, I now live in Cheadle Hulme, (near the Hursthead area) with my wife and grown-up daughter.
As I have recently worked in a school, I have a full DBS certificate available for inspection.

Tutoring Experience

I have enjoyed personal tutoring in the past as a spare time occupation, and more recently I have also tutored my own children in these subjects to achieve excellent academic results.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in a serious and professional approach to learning, with both parties being committed to the task in hand, but also tempered with a spot of humour where appropriate !
Before the first session, we would firstly discuss exactly what you want in terms of tutoring, such as topics to be covered and what YOUR objectives are from the tutoring. If and when necessary I will do any preparation and research of my own, in my own time, before the relevant tutoring session.
I am more than happy to meet or discuss your requirements without obligation prior to any decision on your part !
I also have a well equipped quiet home office with a large desk which we can optionally use.
