Personal Description:

Hi! I'm Adam - I graduated from Cambridge University in 2015 with a degree in Natural Sciences (BA Hons). I am a keen academic student and love to tutor. I believe you get back what you put in - hard work and perseverance can let you achieve your goals, whatever they may be in life! I have had a life of in depth scientific and mathematical study, and have an inquisitive approach to learning. I also have several hobbies including travelling, playing the violin, and enjoying good company with friends and family!

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a one-to-one tutor for several months now, teaching Sciences and Maths for those studying for their GCSEs and A-Levels, which has been incredibly rewarding. I have also spent time volunteering in schools teaching young children basic English.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring is all about you - you have a learning goal which you are heading towards, and I will do my utmost best to get you to the end. It can be difficult in the classroom or lecture theatre environment to clarify understanding, or ask a teacher how you could try to learn how to pass exams. Tutoring is a perfect opportunity to explore where there are gaps in your knowledge, and to find the most efficient way for you to learn, understand and pass exams. Through tutoring, I can help you achieve your goals step by step, layer by layer, to make sure you have the best foundation and understanding. Structuring the sessions helps to cover the material, clarify and work through any problems we come across, and then prepare you for revision and exams in the way which works for you. Reflection upon your progress and the plans for future sessions is important in tutoring. It will be interactive, useful and most of all, enjoyable!
