I am a highly qualified and experienced health and social care worker. A former member of Mensa with an IQ of 154 at the age of 14, I have propelled myself through the care industry at all levels from care assistant to home manager and have a passion for improving the quality of care work and the improvement of the life script and opportunities of my learners.
I have worked in health and social care for the last 23 years at every level from volunteer carer to home manager. I have worked as a trainer, assessor, senior, manager, internal verifier, external verifier, classroom teacher, programme manager and am currently the lead internal verifier for levels 1, 2 and 3; pre-GCSE to A-level. I also have experience of delivery at levels 4 and 5 foundation degree and have been asked to deliver on the PTLLS teaching award.
I have a bachelor's degree in education which I achieved with first class honours.
I then studied for a Post Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford.
I specialise in teaching modules and units related to reflective learning and as such have a great understanding of learning styles and preferences. This allows me to use multiple approaches to study to suit the diverse needs of my learners and progress them to achieve their goals.
