I am a fourth year PhD student studying at the University of Bristol to achieve a doctorate in chemistry. I have recently completed a masters in Chemistry at the University of Nottingham, achieving a first with honours. For A level I studied Chemistry (A*), Maths (A) and Biology (A).
I have previous experience tutoring GCSE and A level students as well as undergraduate teaching.
I love it when my students grasp a concept. I like to teach by giving lots of examples and practice questions, while also encouraging the student to grow in confidence. Focused study on specific topics is a great way to learn, as is time spent practicing exam technique.
I am flexible with how the sessions are used and allow the tutee to determine what is covered and how the material is approached. I encourage the student to ask as many questions as they can about topics they don’t understand.
I find often the tutee will lack confidence and need extra encouragement when it comes to answering exam questions.
I’m happy to work with students of all ability. Please get in contact and we can chat about how best I can help you.
