I am a Graduate of Business Economics (Obtained: First Class), with academic background of O-Levels (Edexcel) and A-Levels (Cambridge) and a Business Consultant by profession. I work as a self-employed (Ltd Company Director), serving multiple clients with a range of services, such as setting-up New Start-up companies, providing Professional Business Plans and Business and Finance consultations for the small & medium business, Companies and Self-Employed Accounts filing with Companies House & HMRC and Managing Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll and Reporting for my clients businesses.
I have had the opprtunity of gaining my own initial accounting & finance experience from big names such as Accounts Assistant at Welcome Break and Finance Analyst at Mondelez International (Formerly, Kraft Foods). This enables me to tranfer the required professional skillset and mindset to my students along with providing them assistance in their qualifications to prepare them for the world outside student life.
I had started giving tution lessons to junior classes since my high schools. This has helped me developed and improve my lecturing skills and teaching techniques with juniors and teenagers. This art was further developed later when in university, with over 3 years of tutoring experience ranging from 11+ to Degree level. I have learned how to also deal with adult learners while occassionaly delivering group lectures to adults and employed workers for Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills; and this has been valuable to me as I am now armed with all the necessary tools to teach most age groups.
I do believe that as a successful tutor I need to listen and understand the needs of each of my students to ensure that my teaching methods match with their needs. Therefore a successful tutor must always have a range of ideas to transfer the knowledge.
I am easy going person who is happy to help and encourage people struggle in their subject! If my method doesn't work I just try something else. I always hold a mini Q&A Time at the end of my each session, to ensure the lecture has been fruitful and also to motivate the student to ask more questions, followed by giving a task to be completed at home (if required).
