I am a mathematics teacher with QTS and a PGCE, and am a subject specialist having completed a BSc in Mathematics . I am an approachable person who tries to make others feel at ease. I very much enjoy my subject and am passionate about helping others - Maths should be accessible to everyone. I’d like to offer extra support to those who need it, or would like it.

Tutoring Experience

I have provided private tuition for 7 years, supporting students through all secondary years, and beyond into sixth form. During my A level years I had several students who I tutored for their GCSE, after recommendations from my secondary school. I additionally provided mentoring to pupils within my own year group as well as those younger. I have had experience tutoring pupils of primary school age within the last couple of years also.
I have qualified teacher status alongside a post-graduate certificate of education, having trained as a maths teacher. I currently work in a college teaching students who unfortunately didn’t achieve a grade 4 in year 11, and are re-sitting their maths GCSE in year 12 and beyond.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to build confidence in the subject by building from a student’s current ability. I look to tailor lessons towards the students, and working towards specific teaching goals dependent on individual needs.
