I am a driven and dedicated science teacher and tutor with fresh ideas and a love of learning. I have a true passion for science, nature and working with young people to inspire the next generations for scientists!
I am a friendly, committed and enthusiastic tutor who will always put my students first to ensure they achieve their potential.
I am a full time science teacher at one of the best comprehensive schools in Birmingham. I also hold a pastoral role within my school.
I have 3 years of experience teaching GCSE science and A Level biology and 2 years of tutoring experience. I am fully up to date and have taught the new grade 1-9 science specification for the 2018 exams.
I create a detailed week by week plan for my tutees to utilise our time effectively and use my wealth of revision experience to deliver varied and purposeful sessions.
Being a teacher, I have access to a wide range of exam board materials and therefore implement regular exam paper practice and also focus on exam technique, which is often a barrier for students, especially with the new science GCSE now in place.
In my sessions students will use a wide range of resources and methods as I like to keep it new and interesting for them each week.
I also allow time in sessions for regular progress checks to allow parents to see how their child is working and also to encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning.
I also offer extensive advice on revision time tables, smart and effective revision out of sessions and the common exam mistake students make so student students can maximise their time out side of our sessions also.
