First Tutors partners with the Guardian Teacher Network
As part of this relationship, our community will have access to free resources (watch this space!), and will have opportunities to guest post on the GTN blog! So if you want to have your say on an educational topic close to your heart, now would be a good time to stand up! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your ideas.
Thousands of school leaders and teachers are using the Teacher Network every day, and benefit from professional development, peer-to-peer support, innovative teaching resources and the latest jobs near you. Join for free here.
Welcome to the Community
As you may have already noticed, the 'Resources' tab is now called 'Community'. Our blog is running along smoothly, with numerous guest posts sitting alongside responses to news articles and opinion pieces on educational themes. We now have a solid body of advice articles aimed at tutors, tutees and parents - across all subject sections of the site - complimented by numerous in-depth case studies.
The latest? A blog post on creating a 'citizenship' lesson in schools and an article on how study effectively.
People are joining in conversations on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ - if you haven't already, take a moment to Like, Follow or +1 our pages to keep up to date with the community.
Here is our first video: Where Will Tuition Take You? - a story of one tutee's journey from studying for his A Levels, to university and beyond.
We will be making a few more videos over the coming months - if you would like to get involved, drop us an email to email@example.com and we'll keep you informed!
