Grace's feedback about Peter (Beginner Cello tuition near Alton)
Peter is a wonderful cello tutor. I am an adult learner, new to string instruments, and under Peter's guidance am very pleased with the progress I have already made in just 2 months. Peter has an abundance of patience and is always encouraging, allowing me to increase my playing confidence with each weekly lesson, and ultimately develop a sheer joy and enjoyment of playing the cello. I highly recommend Peter as a tutor.
Stu's feedback about James (Casual Clarinet tuition near Alton)
Jamie has a very relaxed but nonetheless professional manner and with the important good sense of humour. Very good first lesson that discovered just how bad I am after 40 years of not playing the clarinet. Jamie was enthusiastic and not in the least daunted by the challenge of teaching me which says a lot for the man!! Set me some nice but challenging targets and goals for our next Zoom session and I fully intend to have a lesson each week.
Pierre's feedback about Mikhail (Expert Violin tuition near Alton)
Mr is not only a patient and very supportive teacher, but he is also a refined musician. His technical knowledge in violin playing is outstanding, and at the same time he uses creative tools I have never seen before. I can only warmly recommend him to any student who considers learning music as a serious matter.
Liz's feedback about Robert (Beginner Piano tuition near Alton)
An absolutely fantastic tutor! Rob is patient and always incredibly encouraging, even when I am getting frustrated with myself. He is always prompt and prepared for our lesson which means we get the most out of our hour together. The lessons I have had so far have been an absolute pleasure and I look forward to progressing further under his tuition.
Stephen's feedback about Irene (Advanced Recorder tuition near Alton)
I have thoroughly enjoyed my lessons so far and found them stimulating and informative. I hope that it will not be too long before my playing reflects your input.Thank you.
Janice's feedback about Mark (Intermediate Violin tuition near Alton)
Friendly, patient, knows a lot, good teacher. Also very good at piano.
Graham's feedback about Vincent (Casual Guitar tuition near Alton)
Vince employs a number of tutors at his studio and I have been assigned to one of these. I opted for a casual lesson vs working up the grades and this was my first face to face tuition. 4 lessons in and it's going really well. I have nothing to compare against and for that reason alone cannot say it is excellent. The instructor is very encouraging, has a full grasp of music theory and practical skills. We've been exploring Maj/min pentatonics, Dorian, Mixolydian as well as improving technique, scales exercises and improv. Next time we'll be starting Crossfire by SRV - I had no concept I'd be tackling that so soon!
Tony's feedback about Sarah (Intermediate Violin tuition near Alton)
I have only had two lessons with Sarah, so far, but first impressions are very favourable. She has the ability to spot the flaws in my technique and explain to me how I should go about correcting them. Some musicians are excellent players, but indifferent teachers. Sarah appears to be a very good teacher, as well as being a highly accomplished player.
