Information About Zara - Canonbury teacher
This is how 4 referees rated Zara:
Although still in my final year at the RCM, I have played many times with professional orchestras. I played with Chineke! countless times as a member and have performed with the LPO. I have played under some of the conducting world's biggest names; Ashkenazy, Edward Gardner, Sir Colin Davis to name a few. My sixth form education at the Chetham's School of Music, where I led the cello section in the final concert, was where my passion and investment in orchestral playing began. Throughout my undergraduate degree at the RCM I was chosen to play in the small string band, as well as termly projects in the Symphony Orchestra. Alongside my orchestral work, I am part of a successful clarinet trio, and enjoy performing solo works frequently. Last summer I performed the Vivaldi Double Cello Concerto with The Thinking Musician chamber orchestra. I hold an entrance scholarship at the RCM, as well as the Michael Warren Bursary. I teach privately, and conduct small- scale orchestras.
Private Student and Workshops at various primary schools
I am a kind but firm teacher, with expectation preparation depending on the goals of the student.
