Information About Trevor - Loughton teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Trevor:
I'm have been a professional freelance musician/tutor for 12 years. In that time i have toured and recorded with acts such as Sir Cliff Richard, the Foundations, Geno Washington, Reach Out and the sisters of Soul. I also play on various shows in the West End such as Dancing in the Streets, Grease and the Take That musical 'Never Forget'.
As a teacher i have a wealth of experience in both one to one and classroom situations and i'm currently head of year at The British Academy Of New Music in the east end of London.
In 2004 i won the Arts Council award for Cultural Diversity @ BAFTA.
I have a keen approach to tutoring and use my personality and sense of humour to good effect. I am familiar with various education syllabus and have developed my own bass guitar scheme of teaching.
All of my tasks and lessons are kept relevant to the subject and are based on my real life gigging/recording experiences, as opposed to the school teaching approach of copying nonsense scale theory from a blackboard. It's useless information unless you know where to apply it contextually.
