Personal Description:
Plymouth born and bred, I studied BMus in Music Performance on Piano and French Horn at Cardiff University followed by a PGCE and Diploma in Education at Oxford.
I began playing Piano at age 5, Horn age 11 and Singing from when I could speak - all taken to Grade 8 plus with RSM.
I love being near the sea, vegan cooking, handcrafts and family.
Tutoring Experience:
I spent 25 years as a classroom Music teacher with a specialism in Special Education, while running a successful business teaching practical lessons.
Since early retirement and time spent travelling, I have re-established teaching practical music lessons.
Tutoring Approach:
I follow the Royal School of Music teaching exam schemes, and am fully supportive of the individual’s preferred way of learning. If you choose to learn for fun rather than to take exams, I am happy to support your endeavours!
