Personal Description:
I am an attentive and friendly teacher who enjoys passing on my passion for music, whether it be for exams or just for fun. I am happy to teach children from six and above, as well as adults of any age. I also teach theory and am happy to assist with preparation for A Level and GCSE Music exams. I have studied piano, harpsichord and organ for over 20 years, and am currently studying harpsichord with Robert Woolley at the Royal College of Music as an H R Taylor Trust Scholar, and am also the recipient of the 2020-21 Mercers’ Arts Academic Award. Performances at the Royal College of Music have included Bach’s ‘Ascension Oratorio’ and the motet ‘Singet dem Herrn’ at both SJE Arts (Oxford) and the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall. I have also performed in a recent ‘dementia-friendly’ oboe and piano recital at St Chad’s Church in York.
Tutoring Experience:
Experience of private one-to-one tuition in piano, as well as harpsichord and music theory. Able to help with GCSE and A Level Music.
