Personal Description:

Tom is a drum kit specialist who has from a young age had an obsession with the drums. He is experienced across many genres such as rock, latin, jazz and metal.

Tom has been playing the drums since he was ten. He achieved grade 8 Drum Kit (Trinity) with Distinction, and has a First Class honours degree in Popular Music Performance from UWL, London.

He has studied with some of the best teachers, including Elliott Bennet, Erik Stams and Adam Betts.

Tutoring Experience:

Tom is an enthusiastic teacher who works with drummers of all ages and experience.

He enjoys helping people who just want to learn for fun, and others who may be interested in exploring new styles or developing advanced techniques in rock, metal, jazz, funk or latin.

He gives one-to-one lessons in his own studio in Cardiff, where he has both electric and acoustic kits. He can also travel to a venue of your choice, whether your home or a commercial rehearsal space.

Tom is DBS checked and a member of the Musician’s Union.

Tutoring Approach:

Tom's enthusiasm towards drums and music is evident in his teaching. Focusing on the fun of learning music, Tom never makes teaching a chore.
