Information About Tim - Atherstone teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Tim:
I am a 54 year old music teacher and composer who has just moved to leamington with my wife and family. I have a great deal of teaching and performing experience with both the violin and viola. I also play the electric violin in a folk-dance band and am about to complete a research degree at the birmingham school of music.
I have been a teacher of upper strings, guitar and piano/keyboards for over 30 years. I have worked for the northamptonshire music service, private schools in northants. and oxon. including abingdon prep school and headington school oxon. and am currently still working for the oxfordshire music service. I have experience working with pupils individually and in groups, and have coached several folk groups in schools that have competed in local festivals and the national festival. in addition to this I have always given private tuition at home or through arranged visits.
I am fully qualified and happy to teach through either the trinity guildhall or a.b.r.s.m. grading systems, but am equally happy to teach general music through instruments on a casual & non-competitive basis. I love teaching folk fiddle styles and improvisation, and above all, want children and adults alike to progress in a comfortable, stress-free environment. I am a kind and patient teacher and committed family person. pupils of all ages and abilities (including special needs) are welcome.
