Personal Description:
Tess is a highly experienced music educator and therapist with over 13 years of teaching piano, cello, and trumpet. She holds a degree in Music from Southampton University and a Master’s in Music Therapy, and is both an HCPC-registered Music Therapist and licensed Makaton Tutor. Passionate about making music accessible, Tess specialises in teaching children with autism, ADHD, and other special educational needs, tailoring each lesson to individual strengths and learning styles. Alongside teaching, she performs piano and cello in orchestras worldwide, bringing her professional experience into the classroom and inspiring students of all ages to enjoy and succeed in music.
Tutoring Experience:
Tess has over 13 years of experience teaching piano, cello, trumpet, and music theory, with a 100% success rate in music examinations. She welcomes students of all ages and abilities, whether aiming for exams or learning for enjoyment.
As an HCPC-registered Music Therapist and member of the British Association of Music Therapy, Tess works with children with SEND and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). She is also a licensed Makaton Tutor, passionate about using communication to support early childhood development.
