Personal Description:

Hi,

My name is Tamás, I am a saxophone player and music tutor. Based in East London but with teaching studios in Central and North London and I can teach you or your child to play the saxophone, piano, and the clarinet both online and face to face. I play music from the age of 6, and I am a performing artist since 2009. I played in various clubs in Hungary, Italy and London.

Tutoring Experience:

Although I specialise in jazz saxophone, I am proficient in teaching classical music and jazz on the clarinet, and the piano as well. I developed a keen interest in teaching music when I started substituting lecturers at the conservatory of music in Trento, Italy. Since then, I have continuously proven my ability to teach music to individuals and large groups at various music schools.
I work as a freelance music teacher since 2015, since 2018 I am part of the London Saxophone School as a teacher.

Tutoring Approach:

I adapt that same method to the individual needs of each one of my students when and as necessary. A lot of my students, aged 7 to 60, were complete beginners when we first met so that I am continuously perfecting my skills in teaching the basics of music. These include scales, music theory, and technique of the instrument, music reading, improvisation, and ear training. I also consider myself an expert in the history of jazz as I have effectively dedicated my whole life to it, studying and attending seminars and masterclasses on the subject.
