Tamara is a Birmingham based Clarinet and Saxophone teacher. She graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire with a high 2.1, studying a BMus (Hons) in Clarinet Performance. She taken a keen interest in teaching from a young age has completed a PGCE in Secondary Music at University of Warwick. She is now teaching KS3,4 and 5 full time in a high school.
Tamara has taught many students from the very beginning up to an advanced standard, making sure they tackle different techniques and continually improving their playing.
Tamara is an enthusiastic and dedicated woodwind tutor, who is able to draw upon a wealth of performance and educational experience. As a woodwind tutor, Tamara will provide students of all abilities with a progressive and nurturing program, focusing on technical development, repertoire and performance, as well as developing all round musicianship and theoretical skills.
She can deliver private tutoring for theory exams, GCSE, BTEC and A level students, as she teaches KS4 and 5 at a high school.
All students of any age and ability are welcome and lessons are tailored to each pupil, covering anything the student wishes to learn. Tamara is able to also submit students for ABRSM and Trinity exams and is fully DBS checked.
