Personal Description:

Siriol is a jazz pianist and composer with a diverse and genre-spanning musical background. From a family steeped in folk music, she initially found her feet performing as a classical pianist, with highlights including performing as soloist in Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the Orchestra of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama while still at school.
She went on to read music at Magdalen College, Oxford, where she received a music scholarship, continuing to study classical piano at London's Royal College of Music, with regular concerts including a performance of Beethoven’s ‘Emperor’. Having been a regular finalist in the Urdd National Eisteddfod whilst at school, she won first and second prize in the Composer’s Medal Under 25 in 2019.
During her degree, she began to discover her voice in jazz, teaching herself and earning a place as pianist in the university’s most notable big band, The Donut Kings. She went on to form her own jazz quartet CHOW in her third year, gigging regularly around Oxford, and writing and developing music with the band.
In 2022 Siriol attained a jazz master's degree at Trinity Laban, where she was recipient of the Ford Scholarship and the Help Musicians Postgraduate Award.
