Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Simon, I have been teaching guitar and bass for many years now and I have helped hundreds of students develop their skills as a musician. I teach students as young as 9 up to any age they want to keep playing (I once taught an 84 year old rocker how to “Jam” and “Solo” in the blues and he was good at it too!)

I can provide guitar lessons you whether you are a total beginner or want to move to the next level. I can tutor you if you wish to take your music theory or Rockschool grades. Or maybe you might even want to be coached in playing in a Rock/Pop band, because, as I have done many times before, I know I can pass on the necessary skills in all of these areas.

So, whether you fancy your hand at the bass, a classical guitar or picture yourself as a lead guitarist, with over 2000 performances, half a million miles travelled and 30 years' experience, I can guarantee that Tek'nique Guitar & Bass Tuition can help.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught for over 22 years both privately and at schools throughout Thanet, Kent.

Tutoring Approach:

To improve a students fundamental skills, such as dexterity, timing and harmony.

•To Teach whole songs to my students as soon as possible so they can enjoy and be inspired by their own efforts.

•To be patient. Every student has their own unique pace of learning but I will teach the student how to learn at their fastest pace by using special techniques that I have developed during my career as a tutor.

•“To leave no stone unturned” so they are able to understand their instrument and music as a whole, which in turn, helps to build the student’s confidence.
